​Dolly

Dolly came into our care in the fall of 2021.  She has twinkle in her eye and always wants to know what's going on.  Dolly is a leader and oversees the juvenile antics of her buddy, Rocky.  She also loves to canter around her paddock.

Earl Grey

Earl Grey aka "Mr. Nippy Nipperson" joined the equine family in the summer of 2024. After the passing of his previous owner, their family dedicated themselves to finding Earl a safe and loving forever home. Earl had never seen another donkey before coming to the sanctuary, and we are thrilled that after a few months of sharing the fence line, he has been successfully integrated with Jenny, Tango, and Romeo. While he's still nippy, Earl is working on his manners. See Earl's viral video here. 

Jenny

Jenny came into sanctuary in 2021. While she may be gentle and shy, she confidently holds the top spot in the donkey herd.  She loves back scratches and is very vocal when it's dinner time.  Jenny hates the rain and will stay tucked in her shelter on rainy days. Jenny's early life began in a neglectful situation, which left her completely blind in one eye due to an unknown trauma. In 2024, she underwent surgery to remove her right eye, and we are relieved to know she is no longer experiencing pain. 

Rocky

Rocky came into our care in the fall of 2021.  He is very tiny at just a 180 pounds, but don't tell him that because he thinks he's a very mighty boy.  

Romeo

Romeo came into our care in the fall of 2021, and he lives up to his name because he's so charming!  Romeo loves to have his back scratched and loves his donkey pals, Tango, Jenny and Earl.  

Tango

Tango came into our care in the fall of 2021.  He is always the first to approach visitors and say hello.  Tango is very curious and has absolutely irresistible ears!
