Bobbie

Bobbie arrived in June 2025 with her close companion Mickey from Island Pacifica Animal Sanctuary on Denman Island. The sanctuary’s founder, after the heartbreaking loss of her partner, had to make the difficult decision to rehome some of her beloved animals.

Bobbie and Mickey were already deeply bonded before their move, and soon after arriving they connected with Eddie.

Now they are inseparable, forming a tight-knit little herd. Bobbie, the confident female of the trio, loves nothing more than grazing on fresh grass. In the pasture, you’ll often see her grooming Eddie, a sweet reminder of the affection and harmony that defines this group.

Eddie

Eddie came to us in the fall of 2021 with his companion Ella from a local farm sanctuary. When Ella passed away in 2024, we knew Eddie would need friends. In 2025, Bobbie and Mickey joined him after their caretaker, facing the heartbreaking loss of her partner, made the difficult decision to rehome some of her beloved animals.

Eddie is essentially a 1,500‑pound Jersey with the energy of a playful pup. He loves to run and kick up his hooves up in the pasture, and fresh grass is his favorite indulgence. He’ll eagerly take it straight from your hands with his huge tongue, making every interaction memorable. Eddie’s size and spirited nature set the tone for the trio, giving him a presence that’s hard to miss.

Mickey

Mickey arrived in June 2025 with his longtime companion Bobbie from Island Pacifica Animal Sanctuary on Denman Island. After the sanctuary’s founder faced the heartbreaking loss of her partner, she made the difficult decision to rehome some of her beloved animals.

Bobbie and Mickey, both Jerseys, were already closely bonded before their move. Once they met Eddie, another Jersey, the three quickly became inseparable. 

Mickey is a gentle, shy soul. He likes to wander over to say hello, but he’s never far without checking to see where Eddie is. Eddie, the largest of the trio, often follows close behind, ready to soak up attention and join in. Mickey’s quiet nature him the sweet balance to Eddie’s bold presence.
